The 790 / 790R Adventure kit includes, Sub mounted Stabilizer kit utilizing Rubber bar mounts to eliminate vibration and fatigue including an extra set of different density rubber mounts, with handlebar mounts locating the bars approximately 25mm higher and 4.5mm forward from stock, a much more desirable position on this model. This same kit is used by the factory KTM's on the Dakar Rally bikes and endorsed by Scot Harden and Jimmy Lewis, both multiple time Dakar riders. The kit includes, Owners Manual, frame bracket, tower pin, Rubber SUB mounted handlebar perches, stabilizer and all hardware including detailed, step by step, pictured instructions.
Shown here is the complete bolt on SUB mount kit for the 790 Adventure and R models. This is a substantial improvement to this model. This is a rubber SUB mount to help reduce vibration to the hands and rider fatigue. It mounts to the stock triple clamp. The SUB mount comes assembled with medium compound bushings and additional soft compound bushings are included. The kit includes everything you need to make the installation easy and quick. This kit raises the handlebars 25mm and moves them forward 4.5mm. If for some reason you want lower bend bars, you can select your choice of optional bends, right here by viewing the pull down menu. "SUB" mount stands for Stabilizer Under Bars, originally designed for raising the bars. These kits are designed for use with Oversize bars. "Bar reducers" are available as an option, to convert the kit to standard diameter bars, should that be desired. This concept allows more room for other equipment such as, Global Positioning Systems(GPS) or Enduro/Rally computers and yet still retain the quick access for adjusting the stabilizer. This is also good for the taller rider who wants his bars a little higher, as it raises the bar location approximately 11-25mm, depending on the model of bike. In some cases, you might consider a lower bend handlebar bend at the same time, unless you are trying to achieve a higher bar height along with your stabilizer installation.
